Cobra Roadster Standard Equipment

Highland Daytona Racing offers an extensive list of standard equipment for its Cobra Roadsters, including Ford 302/331 cid engine, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holly Pro fuel pump and Brake Man brakes.

Chassis, Suspension and additional frame mounted equipment

  • Fully triangulated space frame back bone style round tube frame and all suspension links are constructed from seamless 4130N aircraft alloy chrome-moly round tubing throughout. Customer choice of two frame colors.
  • Fully adjustable current race geometry GT-1 road race suspension, Front UN-equal length adj control arms with heavy duty screw in ball joints. Lower arms are an asymmetrical GT style designed to enhance stability in hard braking. Front anti-dive geometry, rear anti-squat and anti-lift geometry. Front 7/8" solid adjustable sway bar.
  • No factory stock type geometry, stock Ford or GM parts are used in our suspension! We have taken the wheelbase and track width of the original Cobras and brought the whole system up to the current industry racing and safety standards.
  • Speedway Engineering custom 9" floater live axle rear with Auburn Pro-series Posi, CNC road race axles, heat-treated hubs and drive plates. (These units can be fabricated with up to 2-degrees of CAMBER built in!) This is offered as an option, but we highly recommend it. This rear is located via chrome-moly/Teflon Heim joints on our fully adjustable triangulated Satchel link system boasting 65% anti-squat, 25% anti-lift and 4% roll under steer!
  • Custom built extreme duty T-5z world class. (Several 5th gear options are available.)
  • Brakeman F-3 series Billet aluminum 4-piston Front and Rear.
  • Brakeman Revolution series 13" vented rotors.
  • All 37 degree AN-type aircraft fittings and steel braided brake lines throughout.
  • CNC steel race brake and clutch pedal set.
  • Custom aluminum drive shaft with steel safety hoop. (structural frame member)
  • 25-gal fuel cell with roll over valve protection throughout.
  • Custom Fluidyne 4-row dual pass aluminum radiator with braided hose and A.N. fittings.

  • Compact oil cooler transfer pump with cooler and lines; the oil cooler is mandatory if ANY racing is expected and highly recommended for prolonged high speed driving
  • Custom cambered and toed housing up to 2 degrees; this greatly enhances the car's cornering force! We recommend this option vigorously! This option gives you the best feature of an IRS in a totally bullet-proof and versatile unit without all of the inherent design flaws of the Jag, Vette or Ford 8.8" rears!

Fuel cell

  • Custom aluminum 26 gallon cell with rollover valves throughout

Body

All HDR cockpit drivers side interiors are custom fitted to each individual buyer. Special attention and provisions can be made for taller clients wanting to remain in the original 90" wheelbase cars.

HDR has the ability to custom mix any standard old or new OEM color from any manufacturer or use over 100 custom specialty colors available from PPG, with any level of custom paint or body work desired. Black is an additional charge of $500.
